Jun 10 Thu, St Michaels MD, Cruise & Seafood
Tour # 1757
St Michaels MD...a day in St Michael's is a day to remember. St. Michaels is steeped in history dating from before the American Revolution, and is known as "The Town That Fooled the British" from a skirmish during the War of 1812. The ambiance of Colonial and Victorian era charm is enchanting and can be enjoyed throughout your visit.
The Crab Claw Restaurant...evolved from a clam shucking and crab business in the 1950s to a seafood eatery in June, 1965. Delectable fresh seafood has always been their hallmark and customers seek out the relaxed and causal setting within a stone's throw of the water. You will need to choose your meal ASAP: Two Crab Cakes, or Crab Imperial, or Fried Chicken.
Known for their steamed Maryland blue crabs and other choice seafood. They also offer Delmarva fried chicken and beef among their entrees. Cold beer, cocktails and other beverages are available to enhance your meal.
After the lunch you will have some free time to explore the village
Patriot Cruises...First on your itinerary must be a cruise aboard the climate-controlled PATRIOT, a St. Michaels tradition since 1969! We help you become familiar with the area as we cruise upon the beautiful Miles River, part of the Chesapeake Bay Estuary which is the largest in the Western Hemisphere. Learn about our local beginnings, view historic homes and wildlife, and watch local watermen harvest clams, oysters and the famous Chesapeake Bay Blue Crab during their respective seasons.
A Step-On Tour Guide will join us after the boat ride. She will give us a local persons view of the town, as we travel around the narrow streets of this little village in our big motorcoach. She will tell us about the history of the town as well as her impressions of life in the village.
