July 10 Sat, Raystown Lake, Boats, Trains, & Trolleys
Tour # 1758
The Tour
This tour takes us to Raystown Lake where we will enjoy a two hour luncheon cruise on the "Proud Mary". Then its "All Aboard" the Broad Top Railway for a journey into the past. Across the road we board the electric trolly and take a step back in time to when many American towns and cities offered inexpensive and convenient transportation using electric trolleys. Then we depart for dinner at the Family Restaurant in Mifflintown. Once again this tour will take us on several "back roads" that you know I am fond of.
The Cruise
Arrive at the LAKE RAYSTOWN RESORT AND LODGE in Entriken PA. Stop at the Visitors Center where you will be greeted by staff and directed to "The Proud Mary" for a two hour luncheon cruise with entertainment.Your meal is buffet style and consists of: Golden Fried or Baked Chicken, with fresh baked corn, homestyle biscuts w/butter, Chefs choice for desert, fresh brewed coffee, decaff, and iced tea.
The Train
Its "All Aboard" the EAST BROAD TOP RAILWAY for a journey into the past. Thrill to the sights, sounds, and power of steam locomotion. Enjoy a 50 minute ride throught picturesque Aghwich Valley on a regional narrow-gauge steam powered railroad system. EBT is the most complete, autentic rail site in North America
The Trolley
Across the street at the ROCKHILL TROLLY MUSEUM, ride the historic street cars and experience the electric street railway era. The ting-ting of the trolley bell, the growl of the gears, the ticka-ticka-ticka of the air compressor... Take a step back in time to when many American towns and cities offered inexpensive and convenient transportation using electric trolleys.

The Family House Restaurant in Mifflintown is a great restaurant with good food and reasonable prices. You will be on your own here.
