Million Dollar Quartet

Bucks County Playhouse

Aug 16 Thursday      Tour # 2678

THE BUCKS COUNTY PLAYHOUSE…is located on the banks of the Delaware River, 90 minutes from New York City in New Hope, Pennsylvania. The Playhouse opened on July 1, 1939. It quickly became “America’s Most Famous Summer Theate”” with a veritable who’s who of American theatrical royalty. The Bucks County Playhouse remained in continuous operation until December 2010. Thanks to the Bridge Street Foundation, the nonprofit family foundation of Kevin and Sherri Daugherty, this beloved theatrical landmark was beautifully renovated, re-opened and celebrated on July 2, 2012, exactly 73 years and a day from when it originally opened in 1939.

On Dec 4, 1956, an unlikely quartet of ELVIS PRESLEY, JOHNNY CASH, JERRY LEE LEWIS, and CARL PERKINS accidently converged on Sun Records in Memphis – and made magic in the process! MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET takes you behind the music with a monumental night that explodes off the stage with 21 legendary hits that defined rock’n’roll, including: “Blue Suede Shoes”, “Walk the Line”, “Great Balls of Fire”, “Folsom Prison Blues”, “Whole Lotta Shaking’ Goin’ On”, and “Hound Dog”. This is one show you really don’t want to miss! We’ve seen it and can’t wait to go again.
